We recently visited a site in the London Borough of Richmond to undertake a BS5837 tree survey and produce a BS5837 tree report for a planning application submission.
This was a surprise because there were no trees nearby just some small shrubs. These have small fibrous rooting systems that will not be greatly affected by the construction process.
However, we used this information to produce the required Arboricultural Impact Assessment, and the Arboricultural Method Statement and were able to confirm there was no requirement for any tree protection measures in this instance.
